Button and Zip clothing
Use clay and play dough to
strengthen fingers and lower arm muscles
Color
Build with Lego’s, Tinker toys, and
other small toys
Use tweezers and tongs to pick up
things and place them into another container
Use paper hole puncher to punch out
holes. Punch out drawn letters, numbers, or shapes
Play Jacks and marbles
When writing use a pencil grip (this
item can be purchased at a teaching store) and hold a small pom pom with the
4th and 5th fingers
Put together puzzles
Do wall push-ups and chair push ups
to strengthen lower arm muscles
Use shaving cream to practice
writing letters on the bathroom wall while taking a bath

Gross motor activities will help
your child become more coordinated and confident! Games provide children with
wonderful opportunities to practice their problem solving skills! Cooperation
