| GENERAL INFORMATION
Absences: Students need to be in school as much as possible we are building
language, working on auditory development, and using hands-on materials to
enhance our learning. These activities cannot be duplicated for students who
are missing.
Arrival: School begins at 7:45. Students who arrive before 7:30
should go to the gym. To develop responisbility and keep our school safe the
children should walk themselves down each morning.
Backpacks: Please send a backpack with your child every day. Put your
child's name in it. Check the folder in your child's bag for papers and
remove them daily. Our school rules do not allow rolling backpacks.
Birthdays: Birthdays are highly anticipated by most kindergartners. If you
would like to send in special treats for your child's birthday please let me
know.
Book Check Out: Your child will be checking out books regularly from our
and school library. Read to and with your child every day begin with 5-10
minutes and build to 20-30 minutes/day.
Bus: For safety, it is best if your child rides to the same after school
address every day. If this is not possible, please safety pin a note to your
child when he/she is to ride to an alternate address or wait for you at the
school.
Dismissal: School ends at 2:45. To ensure the safety of our school we ask
that you either allow your child to ride the bus or pick them up in the pick-
up line. When parents come in the building to pick up their children it is
very difficult to ensure the safety of all children.
Parties: All parties begin at 1:45.
Homework: Review the work that is sent home nightly with your child.
Snack: We have snack on Tuesday and Thursday. The cost is $1.00 per
week. You can send in the money on Monday or on the day of snack.
