About The Teacher

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Crystal Young!  I am 30 years old, and have been 
teaching at Smithville Elementary School for 7 years now. I taught first 
grade for 5 years and this year will be my third year teaching 
kindergarten. I am married to a great guy (Michael), and I have two 
wonderful children (Jadyn who is 6 and Jordan who is 4).  I received a 
bachlor's degree in Child and Family Studies (Pre-K through 3)in 2001 and 
2 years ago I received my Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership.  I 
absolutely love teaching young children, and hope to continue teaching young 
children for many years to come!

Mission For The Class

The most important thing that I wish and hope for children to achieve in my 
classroom is a sense of achievement and pride in themselves!  It is my goal 
for all children to become actively involved in the learning process and to 
take interest in their learning experiences.  Our class mission is to be the 
best we can be and to respect ourselves and others for doing so!
