KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

report to school. I will be registering students for next year (I cannot
believe it is time). Students will report to school on Tuesday, March 20th.
SPRING HILL REUNION
Mark your calendars for March 31st! PTO is sponsoring a SHS Reunion for ALL
alumni. There will be games, food, and much more. Look for more information
soon.
PHONICS STORIES
Every Wednesday night, your child will have reading homework. He or she is to
read our weekly phonics story to you and you are to sign and return it to
school on Thursday. This is a great way for your child to practice reading!
KINDERGARTEN LEVELED READERS
Each week, students must read at least 2 leveled readers to me. I require
students to read to me so I can check for fluency, comprehension, sight word
recognition, and various other reading skills. We practice these stories
during our learning station rotations, however, some students need extra
practice. I have included a website on my "links" page that will allow you
to practice these stories with your child at home. Just click on the link,
then click on the correct reading story.
ATTENDANCE
It is very important for your child to attend school every day unless he/she
is sick. Please make doctor, dentist, and other appointments after school if
possible. This year, a reward will be given every 2 weeks for the class that
has the highest attendance percentage. I would love for Kindergarten to win!!
PTO-PLEASE GET INVOLVED!

MUCH for our school and for our classroom. I would like to see more parents
