Mrs. Smartt’s Announcements
We will continue to study the letter “Ii” next week. We always spend 2 weeks
on our vowels. The children are doing great with beginning, middle and ending
sounds. The cornucopia project came home today. The kids are very excited
about it! Remember, you may use magazines, photos or have your child draw
pictures on white paper and glue on the cornucopia. Return these Tuesday for
display. Please work on counting objects at home. Have your child cross out
or touch the object every time he or she counts. Count objects up to 25.
Practice counting verbally to 50 or higher!!!
All children who earn all their smart sticks today and Thursday get treats
from the treat box! Way to go boys and girls! We have lots!
We welcome Benjamin to our class on Monday! Our Thanksgiving Unit will
continue as we learn all about the Mayflower, Indian and Pilgrim Children,
working together, clothing, hunting and gathering and TURKEYS!
Please remember to check agendas and folders daily. Our calendar for November
is coming home today. Which day is your snack? Please read ingredients. WE
ARE A PEANUT FREE CLASS…..CAN’T HAVE ANY TRACES WHATSOEVER.
There will be no school on November 25th, 26th and 27th in observance of
Thanksgiving (yes, It is already here).
