Welcome to my website and to the 2009-2010 school year. My name is Becky
Gullekson. This is my 6th year at Stoner Creek Elementary School. I
relocated to this area in 2004 to begin teaching at SCE. I am originally
from Michigan. I attended Central Michigan University and received my B.S.
degree in Elementary Education. I majored in Language Arts and minored in
Geography. I was also active in the Association for the Education of Young
Children and the Student Michigan Education Association. I am currently
finishing my Master's Degree in a Reading/Literacy program through Central
Michigan University.
All of my family, including my parents, my sister Angie (an exercise
specialist/cardiovascular tech. and public health educator), brother Scott
(a mechanical engineer) and sister-in-law Amy (teacher), still live in
Michigan. So I go there during our breaks from school and they come here as
much as they can!
In my time away from school I enjoy reading, photography, scrapbooking, and
to travel. I LOVE Country Music, Predators hockey, Lighthouses, Baseball,
and NASCAR.
I am looking forward to a great school year!
My mission is for each of my students to come away from the year with a
love for learning! I hope for them to become more independent and
responsible boys and girls. I want them to be as prepared as they can be
for 2nd grade.
