This is a quick update for everyone…my computer hard drive lost ALL of my word documents, so I have to pretty much start over and retype everything…so bear with the quick note this time. J  I first want to thank EVERYONE for such a wonderful time at the zoo.  We could not have asked for more perfect non rainy weather!!!!!  Can you believe it is the 1^st day of MAY!!!!  We will be working on Cinco de Mayo activities as well as traditions from Japan (Children’s Day).  Mid-terms did not get sent home today because several teachers were out and needed to finish a couple and we will all send them on Monday with your child’s Data Notebook.

 

Phonics:

• We will be working on the diagraph th (as in that, than, feather, etc…)
• Saxon Reader #13 is due!  There were a lot that did not turn it in this week, so I will give it another week.  We only have 3 more books and only 5 more weeks of school left!  WOW!!!!!!
• Saxon Word List #21 (a I hi no so go be we me he was my) EASY long vowels…forgot to send home…sorry!

Math:

• Measurement and weight. Review over all 4 coins, and patterns AB, ABB, AABB, and ABC.
• Make sure your child can count to 100 and knows days of the week and Mos. Of the Year.

 

Reading:

• Hi-frequency Words: what said was
• Story: The Little Engine that Could
• Spelling –en family – Ben den hen men pen ten

Reminders:

 

• Turn in Saxon List #21 (THURSDAY)           
• Spelling words (-en family) TEST on Friday!!!
• Saxon Reader #13 due on Thursday…don’t forget to send them back in the little envelopes. J
• Sounds game now at 5:00pm on Saturday. (if it’s not raining I’ll be there…if it is rainy - been there done that, not fun)
• Muffins for Family – Monday, May 11^th - 7:15-7:30…more info on Monday. J
• Help on Friday 8^th 11:00-1:30
• No school – Memorial Day –May 25^th
