About The Teacher

I have been teaching 3rd and 4th grade in Wilson County for twenty-nine
years!  I have been teaching at Stoner Creek since it opened in 1987.
I have two grown daughters.  My older daughter, Amy, works at home 
and takes 
care of my two beautiful grandchildren!  My younger daughter, Rachael, 
is in 
her third year of teaching second grade in Rutherford County. I have 
lived 
in Mt. Juliet since I was fifteen years old, and I wouldn't want to live 
anywere else. But I do enjoy the beach every summer!

My passions are nature and animals, and I also love to read.  My favorite 
subjects to teach are Reading and Science.  One of my main goals as a 
teacher is to help children love to read.  Also, to learn to love the Earth 
and want to make it a better, safer place for the future. I always 
encourage 
the kids to treat everyone they meet the way they would want to be 
treated 
themselves.  The world would be a better place if we would all do that!
 

I have never lost my love and passion for teaching. In fact, I think I love 
it more now than ever!  I love sharing my life with children.  Thank you for 
sharing your children with me!

Mission For The Class

My mission as a teacher is to meet the needs of every child in my 
classroom, 
and to treat every child with love and respect.  I will help my students 
develop good self-esteem and encourage them to reach their highest 
potential.  I will help my students learn to be accountable for all the 
choices they make, and help them learn to become responsible 
citizens.
I also hope to help them enjoy learning!
