Should I trust Wikipedia for research information?

That all depends upon what you are researching. Wikipedia has become hugely
popular however librarians and other professionals are beginning to question
the reliability of the information found on Wikipedia. Almost anyone can
create and/or add to a Wikipedia page. That is why information found at
Wikipedia should always be verified and confirmed by another web source.
Why is that important? The Internet has millions of pages of information
available on almost any subject. Students have to learn how to examine
information and judge if it is correct or incorrect. Otherwise, they will
believe whatever they read and unfortunately, everything they will read is
not trustworthy.
