I began teaching in 1991. I recieved my Bacherlors, Masters, and Educational
Specialist degrees from Tennessee Tech University.
My husband and I live on a farm in Burville. We have about 20 cows, a very
old pig, several chickens (I like fresh eggs), and 5 (yes, I said 5) dogs.
Our three sons have left home. Our oldest works for First Tennessee in
Memphis, our middle son works for the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, and
our youngest makes his home in Cookeville and works at Lowes. Our oldest son
has a daughter. So, my husband and I are official grandparents.
I am also a member of the Morgan County Choral Society and Delta Kappa Gamma
Society, an honor society for teachers.
My husband and I attend church at Sunbright First Baptist. We enjoy taking
an active part there and sing in the choir there also.
I hope to continue teaching for many years to come. I have not had my second
generation of students, but see them on the horizon. Some are now in
preschool or headstart.
For students to be challenged and have a successful year.
