Beef Quiz Bowl The Sweetwater FFA chapter won the State Beef Bowl hosted by the Tennessee Cattleman’s Association for the 2nd consecutive year. The “open to the world”quiz bowl focused on all aspects of the beef industry,was held in conjunction with Tennessee Cattleman’s Annual Convention in Murfreesboro. Team members include (L-R) Jonathan Summitt, Chase Kizer, Ross Houston, Caleb Young, and Andy Bivens. |

Hiwassee College Quiz Bow The Sweetwater High School FFA won the Hiwassee College Invitational Quiz Bowl. Team members included: Front Row- L-R- Jonathan Rodgers, Matthew Young, Roman Day, and Jessie Campbell. Back Row- L-R- Alex Crush, Jonathan Summitt, Leslie Stevens, Chase Kizer, Jacob Standridge, Ross Houston, Andy Bivens, Dillion Miller, and Caleb Young. The Team defeated Polk County in the Championship Round. Dillion Miller placed first on the written exam and Chase Kizer placed third on the written exam. |

Farm Business Mgt Team Sweetwater FFA Wins State Farm Business Contest
Sweetwater FFA won the State FFA Farm Business Contest at the State 82nd Annual State FFA Convention in Gatlinburg. The contest consisted of 26 schools across the state taking an individual exam regarding economics, finance, and accounting as well as 4 members completing a team activity that included futures markets, depreciation, and balance sheets. Team members included (L-R) Tsia Teegarden, Ross Houston, Matthew Young, and Jonathan Summitt. The team will compete in October at the National Contest in Indianapolis.
