1. candidate--someone who is running in an election

3. debate--a discussion between people with different views
4. election--choosing someone or something by voting
5. environment--the natural world of the land, sea, and air
6. governor--the elected leader of a state
7. volunteer--someone who does a job without pay
8. vote--to make a choice in an election

HOMEWORK (Please review this sheet daily with your child, initial, and return.)

**Any work not finished during the day becomes homework along with the following:
