Dear Parents,
I hope everyone is prepared for a cold start to the week! What crazy
weather!!!!!
There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, April 10, 2009, in observance of Good
Friday.
TCAP tests will be given the week of April 14 – 20, 2009. Please make sure
you DO NOT have appointments scheduled for your child until after 1:00 p.m.
during this week. As you well know, next week will be testing for the
students – TCAP’s. I would like to know that all my students are receiving a
good night’s sleep each night, eating a well-balanced breakfast each morning,
and they have as little stress on them as possible. Also, please encourage
them to do their best, take their time, think things through, and above all –
tell them you believe in them – praise and encouragement goes a long way!
During the week of TCAPS, I usually try to have a small healthy snack for the
students. If you are willing to send snacks or juice boxes, please let me
know, so I can get a schedule of snacks for the week.
As you remember, papers were sent home with the students conducting a parent
survey for a field trip to Dollywood. After reviewing the surveys, the 3rd
grade teachers have decided that the trip is too expensive for the amount of
time allotted to enjoy Dollywood, and there is not enough time to plan out
the fundraisers, get all the money needed for each student, and get the money
to Dollywood in time for the trip. We would like to thank those of you who
were willing to help with the fundraiser.
We will be reviewing skills for TCAP tests this week, so there will be no
story or assignments.
