Central High School offers a variety of computer courses ranging from
Keyboarding to Advanced Web Page Design. Students work in a modern computer
lab using networked Dell workstations running Windows XP Professional.
Keyboarding and Document Formatting/Desktop Publishing students become
proficient using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint in the Office 2003 suite.
Students use MicroType 4 software to increase their keying accuracy and
speed. Various projects help students work toward covering MOS
certification standards.
Web Design students learn to hard code web pages using XHTML to create web-
compliant pages. Dreamweaver 8 and Fireworks 8 software enhance the
student's XHTML knowledge. It also helps them be more productive as they
update and create pages for the Central High School website and the Morgan
County School's website. Through an agreement with RSCC in Harriman,
students may receive college credit for their work in Web Foundations.
