****Summer Homework Packets will be sent home!****
Please look for your child's summer speech homework packets. These consist of word lists to target over the summer as well as a couple of worksheets you can do to target correct sound production. If possible please work on these once a week this summer to maintain current speech production abilitites.

Speech Language Pathologists screen, evaluate, and treat a variety of communication disorders. They include speech, language, voice, fluency, aural rehabilitation, and swallowing problems.
What is Speech?
Speech Therapy focus the students' production of various age appropraite speech sounds, also known as articulation. ASHA defines an articulation impairment as an “atypical production of speech sounds…that may interfere with intelligibility” (ASHA, 1993, p. 40).
What is Fluency?
Fluency disorders are also known as "stuttering problems." Speech fluency can be defined in terms of continuity, rate, duration, coarticulation, and effort.
