What do I do if my child is absent from school?

Please call the school (615) 237-3821 extension 5400 for Kim Sloan, or 
extension 5300 for Melissa Baker and let them know.  If you take your child 
to the doctor or dentist, please bring a note from them since we can only 
except 5 parent notes per semester.

What is Connect Ed?

Connect Ed is the new telphone system Wilson County schools have in order to 
call parents when their child is absent from school or the school has a 
message they would like a parent to receive concerning important information.

What are your school hours?

Watertown Elementary School begins at 7:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.  Students are 
not to arrive before 7:10 a.m.  At that time we have early duty teachers to 
watch the students.

How do the teachers communicate with the parents?

The teachers communicate to the parents by telephone calls, writing notes in 
the agenda book, and weekly newsletters.  The parents are welcome to contact 
the parents at any time during the day by telephoning the school and dialing 
the teachers extension.

How does the administration communicate with the parents?

The principal sends home a monthly newsletter with the students.
