I have been a P.E. teacher and Coach for 21 years. Just seven years
ago, I received my Master's degree. Before teaching in the gym, I taught
second and third grade.
Being the P.E. teacher has many advantages. I get to see all the children
grow, develope, and mature during elementary school. I am married to my
childhood sweetheart. We have been married for 33
years. Not only is he my husband, best friend, but also my preacher. We have
been blessed with three grown children. My daughter is married and a sixth
grade teacher in another county. They now have two young children. I am a
Grandma and loving every minuter of it. I have one son who recently married
and lives in Lebanon. My youngest son just married in November and is
currently living in Smith county. I am blessed to have wonderful daughter-in-
laws.
I am very thankful to be here teaching at Watertown Elementary School.
The goals of my physical education class begins with fitness. I want each
child to experience fun and learn activities that can help he/she to stay
physically fit of life. I encourage team work along with self esteem
builders to help each child. Physical education class is an extention of
the classroom. I try to enhance reading, writing, math, science and social
studies into the P.E. program.
