Monday

WEST FEST IS SATURDAY!  WEST FEST IS SATURDAY!  WEST FEST IS SATURDAY!  


Take Home Folders went home today.  Please return as soon as possible.

This week is West Fest Celebration Week!  To celebrate our Festival this 
Saturday, please wear the following items:

Tuesday:  Favorite Hat
Wednesday:  Favorite Team Items (hats, jerseys, etc.)
Thursday:  Farmer Day (overalls, jeans, flannel shirts, etc.)
Friday:  West Fest T-shirt or West Elementary Shirt

~Spelling:  Unit 2-5 (Final Syllables -er, -ar, -or)
          Write words 3 times each and complete WB p. 37

~Reading:  Vocabulary Definitions for "Passage to Freedom" on p. 164

Tuesday

~Spelling:  ABC order and WB p. 38

~Science:  Write vocabulary definitions for words on p. 164 and complete
          crossword puzzle on WB p. 53 (Most students finished in class.)

~Reading:  WB p. 64

Wednesday

~Spelling:  WB p. 39

~Science:  Read pages 154-158 (Chapter 3, Lesson 1)  Be prepared for a pop
          quiz on the information.

~Reading:  We will not be having a lot of "traditional" homework for Reading
          this coming week.  We've decided to do some projects for Veterans
          Day, so students are choosing projects on which to work--posters,
          a skit, reports, biographies, a musical number,etc.  Next Wednesday
          at 11:00 we will have a program put on by members of our classroom.
          Paperwork will go home probably tomorrow with more information!  :)

Thursday

~Spelling: WB p. 40 and TEST tomorrow

~Science:  WB p. 51 and 52

          +++EXTRA CREDIT+++  Due Friday, November 13          
          Textbook p. 160 and 161--Complete the chart with the information
          provided in the textbook.

~Reading:  Project Assignments were chosen today.  Students will be given
          final information tomorrow, so they can begin work over the weekend.
