Homework

Have your child practice writing their first name using a capital letter for
just the first letter and lower case for the rest. Begin teaching your
child their birthday, telephone number and address. When they know it,
please tell them to tell me they are ready to say it. Does your child know
how to tie their shoe? If not, please begin to work with them on learning
how. The homework is given out
each Monday. It's a Word Sheet and a little reader. It's due each Friday. I
will begin to
write Sight Words in your child's agenda each week. Go over them with your
child. They will have to know how to read all
these Sight Words by mid March. It will make it easier on your child if
they learn 3 or 4 a
week.

This week during Phase In your child is learning about how our day goes and
how to follow and listen to directions. Next week homework will begin.

Please check your child's folder every night. Listen to
them read
the little paper reader and send that back to school by Friday or sooner for
me to listen to them read it. Also go over the homework reading word sheet
and send that back to school by Friday or sooner also. Thank you for your
help!
