*IMPORTANT*
If your child is showing any signs of the flu or has a fever, PLEASE DO
NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL.
*WE WILL BEGIN VISION, HEARING, AND BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS FOR 2ND AND 4TH
GRADERS ON NOVEMBER 13TH. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD BRINGS HIS/HER GLASSES
THAT DAY IF HE/SHE WEARS THEM!
*It's the season for chapped lips! I can't tell you how many kids come in my
office everyday with their lips hurting, cracking, and bleeding. This is
very uncomfortable for them! Please be mindful of this and either use
chapstick or Vaseline on their lips a few times a day.
*GET YOUR FLU SHOT!!!
*If your child will need any prescription medications and/or procedures done
at school this year, please complete the appropiate forms. You can find what
you need in the PHOTOS/DOCS section of my website.
*We’ve all seen the MRSA stories on the news and we know how scary it is,
the best thing we can do is keep household and school objects clean and WASH
OUR HANDS! Please encourage your children to wash their hands often and do
it yourself, also. Children do as they see.
*Anytime your children need to take a medication at school, there are forms
that must be filled out. A physician must fill one out for prescription
medications and you will need to fill one out for any over the counter
medications. I will be more than happy to fax or email these forms to you,
just let me know. I will also be putting a link on my website so that you
can get one any time you may need one. This may seem like a hassle, but it
is necessary to ensure that your children get the best care possible.
