How do I sign up to volunteer for a committee or event?

You can email PAWS by clicking on our mailbox on our home 
page. The President and Vice Presidents will read and respond to 
your request. You can also call or email our volunteer 
coordinators listed on our PAWS page. We love our volunteers and 
appreciate any time or ideas you have to share. 
 If you are interested in joining the 7th Annual West Fest, please 
contact Jodie Heimbach or Alicia Porto.
We would appreciate any time you can give. 

The following committees are needing volunteers to help those in 
charge of the committees:

Silent Auction-Russette Sloan & Jill Tzompanakis: get donations, 
coordinate classroom baskets, Wacky West Jars, etc.

Games-Jennifer Crockett & Staci Todd: plan games, coordinate games, 
layout of games etc. 

Food-Rebecca Alexander & Amanda Schultz: plan menu, purchase food, 
prepare, package, & sell food etc.

Volunteer-Jennifer Allison & Amber Thompson: help coordinate 
volunteers, schedule and place volunteers where needed etc.

Vendors-Stacey Keck: get vendors, coordinate vendors, layout in gym 
placement of vendors, etc. 

Facilities-Mr. Bannach: power, parking, set up and clean up, layout 
of festival, etc.

Advertising-Angie Antonaccio: advertise locally, create map, t-
shirts, etc.
Sponsors-Angie Antonaccio & Cindy Delaney: Coordinate and get 
sponsorship for West Fest.

Thank you for any time you can give. Copy and paste the volunteer 
form or e-mail PAWS with your information. Please return paper 
forms to the school in your child's agenda. These forms will be 
going home with your child soon. Thanks!

WEST FEST VOLUNTEER INFO

As I am sure you have heard, West Fest is approaching very quickly. 
Please check your calendars and plan to be in attendance for this 
great family event. There will be many, many fun activities for the 
young ones and the young-at-heart. In order to make this event the 
best it can be, again we ask for your assistance. If you are making 
plans to be there anyway, please consider setting up, cleaning up 
or being in charge of a game for just a couple of hours. If you 
cannot be available for a 2-hour shift, we would appreciate any 
time that you could help. Be aware that 100% of funds raised will 
be used for the benefit of West Elementary. 

Please sign up for the most convenient time that fits your 
schedule. We look forward to seeing you there.

How do I share a great idea with PAWS?

Please send in your ideas to our email on our home page or call 
and talk to any board member. Our phone numbers are listed on the 
PAWS page. We will bring any ideas, that may be implimented to 
better our school, to our meetings. Unfortunately, not all great 
ideas can be implimented due to various reasons, but we would be 
happy to discuss them with you. It takes great people and great 
ideas to help make West the Best!!

How do I become a PAWS member and what are the benefits?

At the beginning of each school year, there is a PAWS membership 
drive. NEW in the 2009-2010 school year will be the option of 
being e-mailed newsletters/updates/and the option to share your 
opinions on certain issues. This is ONLY available to PAWS 
members. We encourage everyone interested to sign up to become a 
member to enjoy this new option. The cost is $5, but you will 
receive a Kroger card loaded with $5 on it to spend, so it is 
FREE. Please look for PAWS membership sign ups in the school 
lobby going on this week. Becoming a PAWS member will keep you up 
to date on what is happening at West and allow you to give your 
input in an easy and more convenient way.
