Dear Parents and Students,
Your generosity amazed me! I was overwhelmed with so many thoughtful cards, gifts, and gestures
of appreciation this week. Please know that I appreciate your thoughtfulness and the time it
took at this busy time of year to remember me. Please keep in touch and let your "old," as
in "former," teachers know what's going on in your life. Thank you for the part you played in
making Team 8-3 THE place to be at West Valley Middle School. It's been a year to remember!

Training Schedule
One sure way to improve your Reading is to R-E-A-D! It almost seems like a
no-brainer. How would you improve your tennis game? How would you train
for a marathon? How would you become a better cook? Practice. Practice.
Practice. There are no shortcuts on the road to success. You put in the
time it takes to improve, and you will reap the fruits of your labor. So?
What are you waiting for? Pick up a book and start turning the pages. You
just might find yourself in a whole new world!
