How can a student receive additional help?

All students are encouraged early on to get help when they do not understand
what is going on. Unfortunately, many students do not take the initiative to
do this. Unless I have a meeting or appointment, I am available to help
students daily during homeroom and also after school until 4 pm (most days).
Students should double check with me ahead of time to make sure that I am
available. I can also arrange for another student to work with someone that
is struggling.

How are averages calculated in this class?

Class averages are based on how many points the student earns compared to how
many points are possible throughout the grading period. For example: A
student earned 475 points during one of the 6 weeks grading periods. There
were a total of 650 points possible during this time. Their average would be
calculated by dividing the points earned by points possible. In this
example, 475/650, the student would have a 73% average for the 6 weeks.
