Eight of the best years of my life!!!

***** Wilson Central Choirs in eight years have *****

Sung in St. Louis Cathedrals both in St. Louis and New Orleans ~ in

       St. Louis ~ twice!

Traveled to such far-flung places as New York City(twice!),

Anaheim~Calif, the Bahamas, New Orleans, St. Louis(twice), Hawaii

and Gatlinburg each of the last five years with Freshmen Choir.

Visited sacred places like: Grant's Tomb in NYC, the Battle Field of

Chalmette in New Orleans where Andrew Jackson defeated the Brittish,

the original State Court House in St. Louis where Dred Scott filed

his petition for emancipation in the 1850s; we've visited the

First National Battle Field owned by the Federal Government in

Chattanooga ~ Point Park at Lookout Mtn.

Offered Men's and Women's Choir since 2004-2005 school year, the same

      year Freshmen Welcome Camp started.

Sent over 45 kids to ACDA National or Regional Honor Choirs.

Qualified over 50 students for All-State Choirs and over 125 for Mid-State

Choirs, including over 65 Freshmen qualified for Freshmen Honors.

Competed at MTVA's Choral Fest, the qualifying event for ACDA State

Finals, scoring Superior each year since 2002-2003 ~ Freshmen Choir

       never scoring less than Excellent.

In eight years qualified for participation in State Finals 7 years in a

row and in the last four years maintining a State ranking in the top 5

Men's and Women's Choirs but still qualified for a ranking in the TOP

TEN CHOIRS (SATB, Men or Women) in the Mid-State.

And in Mr. Bullock's last year both Men and Women's Choir scores at

State establish them as the BEST MEN AND WOMEN'S CHOIR IN THE MID-STATE.

More than a dozen of our students went on to study Music at the University

level and expect to teach Music at the High School or College leve.

Another 20 have sung in college or universtiy choirs with scholarships

but majoring in other fields from mathematics to language.

The ones I'm most proud of, however, are those who chose to serve their

country in uniform ~ they are scattered across the globe and in

every uniform ~ Marine, Sailor, Airmen and Soldier.

These are the ones that guarantee the rest of us the opportunity to do

what we love everyday ~ All our musical accomplishments pale in

comparison to the sacrafice these young men and women make for us daily ~

                                                  Bull ~
