Ms. Sartin- I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee. I received two
Bachelor Degrees (Psychology and Criminal Justice) from the University of TN
at Chattanooga. I went on to further my education with a Masters Degree in
School Counseling and Community Agency Counseling at East Tennessee State
University. After graduation I worked as a school counselor in Columbia,
South Carolina only to return to the city of Memphis. I am currently engaged
to the man of my dreams, madly in love and ecstatically happy!
Mrs. Fuller - Originally from Alabama, I grew up in Memphis and attended
Memphis City Schools. My Bachelors and Masters degrees are from the
University of Memphis. I worked as a teacher and counselor for Memphis City
Schools for 13 years. My husband and I adopted two children and I took time
off to raise them before returning to work for Shelby County Schools 2004.
To "wake-up" the eight grade class to the possibilities and opportunities
scholastic achievement provides. We hope to instill in the students a sense
of readiness for high school, help them to understand they have the ability
to achieve their "closer than you think" goal of attending a university and
make their dreams a reality.
To help establish an awareness of self, respect and self discipline in the
7th grade class. Teach the dangers of drugs, learning to appreciate
difference in others/tolerance, understanding when not to go along with the
group, being aware of consequences for inapproiate actions and other topics
for emotional, social and scholastic well being.
To teach the sixth grade class why school rules exist, the
dangers of drugs and alcohol, study habits and time management, the
difference between empathy and sympathy, dealing with conflict and
other topics for emotional, social and scholastic well being.
