The students will complete the assignment from the previous week make sure
all the fonts are the same learn to insert a new page and complete a handout
titled, More Calculator Fun using Microsoft Office Word. Upon completion the
students will log onto Study Island.
Quarter 3 Week 4 1/25-29/10
All students will learn to search and refine your search on ask.com and
googlekids.com through answering a set of 10 questions. Name of handout is
More Names and Numbers. Through this exercise the students will be reviewing
how to open, key data, and manuever on Microsoft Office Word 2003.

All Students will be working on Study Island.
Quarter 3 Week 2 1/11-15/10
All students will be working on Study Island.
Quarter 3 Week 1 1/4/2010-1/8/2010
The students will complete computer module Activities 3 and 4. Upon
completing these activities, the students will log in to Study Island to
complete assignements put on Study Island from various teachers.
Quarter 2 Week 9 12/14/09-12/18/09
The students will work in Study Island.
Quarter 2 Week 8 12/7/09-12/11/09
The students will complete Activity 2, the System Simulation, and the Design
Chart in their assigned computer module.
Quarter 2 Week 7 11/30-12/4/09
The Students will begin back working in the AES Technology areas.
The 7th graders will be working in the computer module - Multimedia Basics.
The 8th graders will be doing Biospere, Alternate Energy, and Road
Transportation.
This week all students will complete Activity One in their computer module.

8th grade: 8B will work on their Element Baby books, 8A will begin Study
Island and continue with the Brainpop quizzes/activities.
7th grade: TSW will begin Study Island and the Multimedia Computer Module
Activity 1.
Quarter 2 Week 3 10/26-10/30/2009
TSW will watch Brainpop movies on English- Strengthening Sentences,
Math-Word Problems, and Science:7th grade-Cells; 8th grade-Atomic Model.
After emailing the results from the Graded Quiz. The students will use 4
square writing to write a paragraph use given vocabulary words from the
movie telling about something they learned from the Brainpop movie.

TSW take the school survey, first. TSW complete a Fractions, Percents, and
Decimals shart using Microsodft Office Excel. TSW will review how to change
a fraction to a decimal then to a percent. TSW review how to change a

After working problems together tsw write out how to do each operation in
words only and numbers. The template is on the site under Photos/Documents.

Quarter 1 Week 9 October 5-9, 2009
TSW will be given the opportunity to do any missing work. TSW will finish
their multiplication chart using colors for background, Font color, and
borders. TSW will use an online tool to train in Excel 2003.
Quarter 1 Week 8 September 28-October 2, 2009
We begin working in Microsoft Excel. TSW study various charts/graphs along
with learning to use Mathematics functions to program cells. The students
will create a muliplication chart (0-20). TSW color code the chart (i.e.
multiples of 2, 5, and 10). The students will learn to format cells and
basic word skills (i.e. opening a spreadsheet, saving, printing desired
text, widing columns and rows, finally adding graphics.
Quarter 1 Week 7 September 21-25, 2009
TSW will present their Slideshows to the teacher to be graded. Now we begin
working in the Technology Shaping Our World text. Chapter 13. Using
Microsoft Excel, we will study binary codes.
Quarter 1 Week 6 September 14-18, 2009
The Monday classes will be playing catchup begin their Internet Dictionary.
For instructions go to my home page and click on Internet Dictionary. The
Tuesday to Friday Classes will be adding the definitions, pictures,
examples, animations, and slide transitions to their Power Points. All
Power Points must be finished be Friday. 9-18-09. If you are absent on your
class day you will have till the following weekday that you attend class to
complete it. The Rubric will be on the site by Tuesday afternoon.
Quarter 1 Week 5 September 7-11, 2009
September 7 Monday classes do not because of the holiday.
TSW create a Internet Dictionary using Microsoft Office Power Point. The
dictionary will contain 15 technology terms. TSW will simulate an actual
dictionary of sorts, using examples for terms, pictures, and animation.
This will take the place of the current event and the timeline activity in
the Introduction Unit.
Quarter 1 Week 4 August 31- September 4, 2009
TSW continue work in the Techcenter21 Introduction Unit finish Activity 1,
complete Activity 2.
Some may finish activity 2. Those students will move on to Activity 3 (7th
grade) or Activity 5(8th
grade).
Quarter 1 Week 3 August 24-28, 2009
TSW identify the 10 various parts of the computer, learn the function for
each, in addition to learning
how and why the makers upgrades the devices so frequently.
Quarter 1 Week 2 August 17-21, 2009
Introduction Unit--Activity 2=>TSW Develop 3 different designs to solve a
Real World problem using Techcenter21 Universal Systems Model. (System
Simulation)
Quarter 1 Week 1 August 10-14, 2009
Introduction Unit--Activity 1=>The student will fill out index cards with
pertinent info I need to keep
track of them in class. The students will get a Introduction to the
Foundation of Technology procedures and will receive their assigned
computers. If time permits we will begin pre-assessments and activities in
the Applied Educational Systems Techcenter21 program.
The students are still working in groups of two students each.
