Registration Days for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year will be as follows:
Kindergarten--April 27
Grades 1-4--May 3-7
Grades 5-8--May 10-14.
Be sure to come by and fill out your child's registration forms for next year!
May 4th was originally scheduled as a day off for Election Day. We will
attend school on this day to make up 1 snow day--so mark your calendars!
For this upcoming week:
Reading Story-"On The Job With Dr. Martha Smith"
Comprehension Skills-classify and organize
Phonics-/ou/ow, ou---how, round, sound, etc
Grammar-Using/recognizing describing words (adjectives)-Smell, taste, feel
Math-Chapter 14--Counting money, recognizing pennies, nickels, dimes,
quarters, and half dollars, counting the total value of a set of money, &
identifying what coins it takes to reach a certain amount. We should finish chapter 14 this week. We
will move on to Chapter 15-Addition.
**Reviewing with your child nightly will greatly help them! Maybe they could count the change in
your pocket or add how many coins you have. :)
Social Studies-Unit 4 "Our Changing World"
