About The Teacher

Hello! I have been teaching in Putnam County Schools for the past fourteen
years. I graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a B.S. degree in
Early Childhood Education. I have taught all grades K-3. I find the
teaching career both challenging and rewarding. My goal for my students is
that they develop a desire for lifelong learning. I have been married to my
husband, Mark, for 18 years. We have two daughters, Savannah and
Chloe. My family and I are members of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. We have
two family pets, a cat named "Yodie" and a chocolate lab named Texas Ivy
Rose. We call her "Rosie." They get along really well. It is quite a site
to watch them play together. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with
my family, reading, shopping and church activities.

Mission For The Class

My mission is to provide an atmosphere for students to learn
and feel successful. Third grade is a year for students to learn more
independence and responsibility. Parents, you play a very important role in
your child's education. I hope that by us working together, we can make
this a very successful year for your child.
