We want to thank you parents for helping make this a great year. We have truly enjoyed teaching
your students. We wish you a wonderful and safe summer.
This week in reading, we will play games to review what we have learned this year. The games will
also include questions about English and spelling. On Wednesday we will have a chance to read for
pleasure. We ask that each child bring a book or magazine to read. We will go outside so everyone
should bring a blanket or towel to sit on, sunscreen, sunglasses, and something to drink.
On Monday we will have our Buy, Sell and Trade event. Students are to bring items that they wish
sell or trade that are in good shape and cost no more than $5 an item. They will also need to bring
cash to buy items. They will be keeping a ledger to record the money they spend and also a ledger
to record items they sell.
We will be getting lunch from Sonic on Thursday for our end of the year celebration. Please return
the lunch order and $2.00 by Monday, May 24. We will make ice cream sundays for dessert.
We will collect textbooks and send home personal items this week. Please make sure that your
student does not have any outstanding debt in the cafeteria or in the library.
Students do not come to school on Friday, May 28, 2010. This is a teacher work day.
Students may pick up report cards on Saturday, May 29 from 8:00-10:00. Buses do not run on
Saturday. If you are not able to come to school for the report card, please send a self-addressed
stamped envelope, and we will mail the report card to you.
Again, this has been a great year. We appreciate your support and encouragement.
