I have created a new Google website for free instead of paying for this TeacherWeb site. I am posting the link below. This website will not be active after September, and my link from the AMS homepage will soon be changed to the Google site. Check it out by clicking on the link below and bookmarking the new website. I have this week's news on it.

I still do not have any classes assigned in Powerschool, so I can not return work this week in the Tuesday folders. I need to record the grades first. Everyone has been working hard, and we have done reading, language, math, and social skills every day (including the 1st day). If they don't have me up and running by next Tuesday, I will just manually record every subject for every student, so that I can send work home.
No school Thursday, August 5th! Teachers have an inservice day while voters are utilizing the school buildings :)
Have a great rest of the week!

Supply lists for each grade are available for download on the school website; click on my link at the top of the home page.
Anyone who has
math with me just needs lots and lots of wide-ruled paper, plenty of #2 pencils (not mechanical), and a cheap calculator (I usually buy the $1 calculators at Wal-mart). Everyone will need the supplies each subject area teacher requires if they are attending those classes

Last year, one big binder with folders for each subject and homework seemed to work well for everyone. Also, you will need to send a two-pocket folder for a Tuesday Take-home Folder, also.
Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Belcher, and Mrs. Hughes oversee that all students under their supervision write every assignment in their planners every day. You can usually expect math homework every night. We have many different math groups, so those assignments are individual. By this time in their school career, there is no avoiding homework. There will be even MORE homework in high school; these guys have to learn to be responsible for caring enough to go home and complete their assignments and then return them to school.
