Welcome to Second Grade! I have been a Second Grade teacher for 14 years.
Before
that, I spent 10 years teaching preschool and First Grade. I look forward to
each day
and to what exciting things we can learn together.
I attended David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN and then received by
Masters
Degree from Tennessee Tech. I have lived in Cookeville for over 25 years.
My
parents and my brother and his family are also in town.
My family includes two daughters and a son-in-law. My oldest daughter is
Anna and
she lives and works in the Algood area. My other daughter is Amy and she and
her
husband Byron live in Dunlap, Tn where they both teach school. They are the
parents of my only
grandchild Logan. He is so precious!
Both girls
attended
school in Putnam County and had excellent educations. I feel that it is a
blessing to be able to work with you and your child this year. Please

My mission for our Second Grade Class is to provide a kind and nurturing
environment
for each child to succeed and sometimes fail but know that he or she can try
again and
succeed. Each child has a right to be heard and to hear others as they
express
opinions and desires.
