Puzzle 1.
Last week, I traveled from Birmingham to Kansas. On the first day I traveled 
one quarter of the distance. On day two, I traveled one half of the 
remaining distance. On day three, I traveled three quarters of the remaining 
distance. Yesterday I traveled one third of the remaining distance. I now 
have 21 miles left to travel. How far is it from Birmingham to Kansas in 
total?

Puzzle 2.            
Once upon a time, and old lady went to sell her vast quantity of eggs at the 
local market.

When asked how many she had, she replied:

Son, I can't count past 100 but I know that.

If you divide the number of eggs by 2 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 3 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 4 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 5 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 6 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 7 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 8 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 9 there will be one egg left.
If you divide the number of eggs by 10 there will be one egg left.

Finally. If you divide the Number of eggs by 11 there will be NO EGGS left!

How many eggs did the old lady have? 


Puzzle 3

For Christmas, six brothers and sisters received some CD albums as presents. 
The albums were by Madonna, Steps, Robbie Williams, Boyzone, Mozart and 
Shania Twain. Using these clues, can you determine who received which CD? 

Kevin chose a CD by a solo girl singer. Laura hates pop music but got an 
album she wanted. James chose a solo singer. Rebecca chose a girl singer, 
but not Madonna. Joanne and Steve both chose CDs by groups. Steve chose 
Steps.
