How do I pay for my child's lunch?

You may set up an account and prepay for lunch with the cafeteria. You can
also send money daily in a sealed envelope or ziploc bag labeled with your
child's name. Please place the envelope/bag in your student's Daily Folder.
Teachers do not have access to lunch account information- you can contact
the school cafeteria for more information.

Do you have nap time?

Due to rigorous academic requirements, we do not have a nap time in kindergarten. In the beginning of the year students are allowed to
rest as they adjust to the Kindergarten day. In many classrooms quiet reading time or a read aloud is used as a period of rest.

How can I best prepare my student for a great day of school?

1. Set a bedtime and stick to it. It is very important that your student be
well rested. If your child is used to taking a long nap, the full day of
school can be difficult. At this age it is recommended that children have
10 hours of sleep each night.
2. Make sure your child has had a healthy breakfast. Breakfast is served in
in the classroom free of charge starting at 7:30.
3. Help your student arrive on time. Classroom instruction begins
immediately. Tardy students miss out on valuable learning time and disrupt
classroom routines. Tardies are reported to the attendance office and
recorded on your student's report card.
4. Help your child be prepared. Your student needs to have his/her Daily
Folder and backpack everyday.
