Welcome to YOUR
Anderson Mill Elementary PTA!
National PTA’s Mission contains three elements: Parent
Education, Child Advocacy and Parent Involvement. Our theme
is designed to remind members that whatever the “mission,” it is made
“possible” by working together through PTA.
The number one reason parents join PTA is to
help their own child to succeed. Many
parents see PTA as their connection between home and school, keeping them
informed of school events and policies. Joining PTA allows the parents to work
more closely with teachers and gives them better insight to activities and
workings of the school.
By joining the PTA, parents are showing
children they believe education and school is important. It also provides
ways for parents and their children to volunteer together. PTA allows
parents to get to know and interact with the parents of their
children’s friends. Meeting other parents who are involved in the school helps
parents feel more a part of their child’s education.
PTA informs parents
about what is going on in schools on a national, state, and local level.
National PTA’s website is a valuable resource for parenting information. PTA
provides opportunities for leadership development. PTA regularly
distributes newsletters that offer members the opportunity to be aware
of and respond to school issues and activities. PTA offers the opportunity to
contribute positive changes in the school and the community.
Being a PTA member is a way to be included in a
productive, organized group that can affect change.
*Need for Additional Funds – PTA offers
funding for supplies, field trips, assemblies, arts, awards, etc.
Becoming a member of Anderson Mill Elementary's
PTA is simple...why not join and support your child in this way today?
Thank you!
