I believe that every child has the ability to bring something unique and
special to the world. It is my job to determine and meet the needs of each
student to help them reach their full potential. I provide a secure and
stimulating classroom environment that is engaging and fun; one that
challenges my students, nurtures their own ideas and is highly conducive to
learning.
It is important for my students to develop a sense of respect for themselves,
others and their environment through open sharing of opinions and a fair and
consistent approach to discipline. My students have the freedom to express
themselves and their uniqueness and creativity. I design lesson plans that are
engaging and that make learning relevant to life. By incorporating group work,
individual work, creativity and hand on activities, my students are active
learners.
For me as an educator, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning
and growth. I will always strive to improve myself so I can, in turn, improve
the lives of my students.
