When is the best time to contact you?
The best time to get a hold of me on the phone is during my conference time from 1:45-2:35 Monday through Friday or after school. On Thursday we have team planning at 1:45 but you can still call and leave a message if I do not answer. Another great way to get a hold of me is to email me. Do we have to do homework? (Student Question)
Yes! However, I do understand that these days we are all very busy and that some times things do come up. If you are not able to do your homework one day it's going to be ok, but if it becomes a habit I will have to make a call home. Homework is meant to help the students continue to learn and grow off of the lessons learned in the classroom and to take responsibility for their own learning. Homework is also a way for the you, the parents/guardians to get involved and to stay up to date with what we are learning in the classroom. I will try my best to give the students choice in all the homework and to make it as fun as possible for them to do. I do expect all students to read to someone at least 20 to 25 minutes a night and have their reading log signed or initialed by the person that was read to. It is up to the student to get their reading log and homework sheet singed every night. If it is not signed I can not know for sure if the students are reading and working on their homework. If a student is continually missing homework and I have already made a call home, I will have to take activity or recess time away from them.Back to Top

There are two things that you can do to ensure your child get's home the correct way. Contact the office (especially if it has to do with the bus or daycare) and leave a message with them and they will get it to me before the end of the day or you can call me directly and leave a message on my voicemail and will get it before the students go home. I check my voicemail two times a day, at lunch and during my conference time. If you have not contacted the office or myself by 2, your child will go home the way they normally do. Back to Top

If your child does not have money in their account they will be given a cheese sandwich and a milk for lunch. Please check your child's folder everyday and if you see a yellow or bright orange slip that is from the cafeteria. Back to Top

Can I (parent/guardian) help out in the classroom?
Yes you can! My room is always open! If you have time and want to spend it volunteering in our classroom please let me know because you are more than welcome to. Even if it is just coming in and reading a book to the class I know they would love it. Just contact me and we can figure out a way that you can help us out!Back to Top

Can I send a water bottle with my child to school?
Yes they can! I encourage you to send a water bottle with your child everyday to school. I do ask that it only be water in the water bottle and that it not be frozen the night before.Back to Top

We will be going to the library every Wednesday at 8:30. The students will get to check out two books. If your child does not return the books that they previously checked they will not get to check out new books. Our class goes to P.E. every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Please make sure that your children are dressed appropriately for P.E. other wise they will not be able to participate. Back to Top
