Welcome!

We are enjoying another exciting, fun-filled year in the gym. Our curriculum is TEKS based, and focuses on a variety of activities and games that promote cooperation, teamwork, and a foundation for a lifetime of  active, healthy living.

Dress for P.E.

Students are not required to wear a uniform, but should come to the gym in clothes they feel comfortable being active in. For reasons of safety, sandals or open-toed shoes should not be worn; students should wear "tennis" shoes when they come to they gym. If they prefer to wear other shoes the rest of the day, they can bring their tennis shoes in their backpack and change into them before Specials on P.E. days. In addition, girls wearing dresses or skirts should wear shorts underneath, and dangling ear rings should be removed before coming to the gym. (On specials days when students may be dressed up - i.e., picture days, field trips, music program days, etc. - we will modify the activity as appropriate.)

We are proud to be a Fuel Up to Play 60 School!
Running Club!

New this year! A Healthy Way to Start Your Day!

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, students in grades 3-5 may participate in running club between 7:15-7:30. Running Club is on the small playground on the school's west side. Students in Running CLub who are also doing Marathon Kids may count 4 laps of the playground area as 1/4 mile, or 7 laps as 1/2 mile on their Marathon Kids Mileage Log.
