Hi! Welcome to Blackland Prairie Elementary School! This is
my third year at Blackland and I am so excited to be a part of such a
wonderful learning community! After twenty years at the high school level
and six years at the preschool/kinder level, I am loving the elementary
school world! Life is very exciting for my Welless Warrior friends... they
are energetic and ready to prepare for a life full of health and fitness!
On a personal level... I have spent a lifetime involved in USA gymnastics as
a coach and women's judge. It is a passion that I have been lucky enough to
carry with me from childhood into my adult years. I spend many weekends
around the state and elsewhere judging gymnastics meets. So much fun!
I have two wonderful grown sons, one precious daughter-in-law (also an
elementary teacher), a treasured mom who lives with me and two deeply loved
dogs (Scruffy and Stubby). Our family is very close and loves to share our
lives together. We attend church at Grace Presbyterian and get together
often to play board games, have pool parties and EAT!!!!
Education and school communities have been the focus of my life... so I'm
right where I need to be and love teaching these wonderful little ones!
