I am so excited to be back at Blackland Prairie for my sixth year.  I
came to the Round Rock District from 15 years of teaching in the Austin ISD.  My teaching experience ranges from 1st to 6th grade, where I taught Math and Science.  I am a nature lover, yoga instructor, mountain biker and an avid reader.  I also love to cook and garden.
I am married to one of the 4th teacher at Forest Creek Elementary and we traveled this summer to Portugal, Spain and Morocco.  We live in Austin and commute.  My son, Geoffrey,  is an Assistant District Attorney in Travis County, my daughter-in-law, Afton,  is an attorney in Austin and my daughter, Mariel is beginning her first year in law school, after teaching for five years.  We have a precious pug named Pugsley that keeps us all in stitches and a cat named Paisley.

Vision For Our Class

Our Vision for our class is that everyone will learn all of the 2nd grade
skills in Social Studies, Science and Math. We will also learn more
vocabulary so we can express ourselves more clearly in speaking and
writing. We want to all be on grade level or above in Reading so we can
read faster, smoother and understand what we read. We will be stronger and
more artistic!
Mission Statement
We will accomplish these goals by:
1. Focusing in class.
2. Doing our absolute best.
3. Practicing our skills everyday this year.
4. Doing our homework.
5. Following directions.
6. Following class and school rules.
7. Eating healthy foods
8. Reading every night for at least 20 minutes.
