I am so glad be returning back for my fourth year at Blackland Prairie. It
is my eleventh year of teaching. My experiences include second, Third and
Fourth so I have a good feel for were your students are coming from and
where they need to be by the end of the year.
I have been married for 28 years and have two grown (we'll almost grown
boys). Christoper and Matthew. I also have been blessed with a daughter in
law named Kyndra and a granddaughter named Madelynn.
Mrs. Straughn committed to providing all students a challenging, child-
centered learning environment in which every child has the opportunity to
experience academic achievement. An environment were we work together to
create a nurturing environment where all students feel safe and secure,
while striving to provide a collaborative atmosphere of teamwork, mutual
respect, and an appreciation of diversity among students.
