How is my child's classroom teacher chosen?

The final decision on classroom placement is made by our principal.

How often will I get updates about my child's progress?

Report cards and IEP progress reports are sent out each nine weeks. Resource
teachers also send out notices of work that is missing or tests that need to
be retaken for a higher grade in the resource classroom. We always welcome
your phone calls if you have a concern to discuss with us. Please see our
schedules for conference times.

How will I know what my child's homework assignments are?

Each child in 3rd grade and up has an assignment notebook that he/she is
required to fill in each day. Teachers post the assignments on their white
boards for all students to copy. Resource students may not have homework
each
night.

What is the best way to contact a teacher about a concern?

All teachers at Blackland Prairie have email that is checked several times a
day. The format is the same for everyone such as
firstname_lastname@roundrockisd.org. You may also call and leave a message
on the classroom phone. If you have an emergency, please call the office at
424-8600.
