Elaine Blair, Librarian I am a native of Dallas, Texas. I earned an undergraduate B.A. degree in English, with minors in French and Education, from North Texas State University, Denton, Texas. Ten years later, I received my Masters of Library Science at NTSU . My career in librarianship began at Dale B. Davis Elementary School in Carrollton, Texas, where I served for 22 years. Eight years ago I came to Frisco I.S.D. to establish the new library at Borchardt Elementary and am now serving my 30th year as a Librarian/Media Specialist. I have a heart for encouraging my students to become life-long readers, knowing that a love of reading will positively impact every facet of their lives. Once they become readers, then they can more fully enjoy the process of becoming life-long learners. I have been married to my husband, Fred, for 40 years. My interests include reading, carnival glass collecting, trying new bed and breakfasts, ministries at church, and enjoying my two precious granddaughters, now 7 and 5 years old.
I am helped in the library by my library assistant, Gertie Goose, a puppet, who helps with story time for grades kindergarten, first, and second. |

Jackie Goralczyk, Library Aide My name is Jackie Goralczyk. I was raised in Garland, where I attended Garland High School. I received my Bachelor's Degree from UT Dallas. My husband, Don, and I moved to Plano in 1990. We have three children in the Frisco ISD. Kelsey is an 9th grader at Liberty, Lindey is a 6th grader at Fowler, and Colin is in the 3rd grade at Taylor. This is my third year at Borchardt and I am thrilled to be here. I now work a full-time position and split my time between Borchardt and Taylor. I coach a Destination Imagination team from Liberty and help lead a Girl Scout troop from Fowler. In my spare time, I love to read, watch my kids play sports, and shop. |
