What Ms. Miller teaches:
Video Technology/Advanced Broadcast -- 2nd period
1. This class produces a daily podcast available only within the Austin Independent School District.
2. This class also produces 5 to 10 minute documentaries as part of its monthly webcast for both http://www.bdtelevision.net/ and schooltube.com
3. The class also produces feature shorts for SXSW Film Festival and the Austin Film Festival
Newspaper I, II, and III -- 4th period
1. This class produces a printed news magazine once every six weeks.
2. The students also write stories, take photos, and create short videos as part of convergency projects displayed
on their online newspaper hosted by my.hsj.org.
Journalism 1 -- 3rd and 8th periods
1. This class is a preliminary training course for future newspaper, advanced broadcast, and yearbook
students with an introduction to desktop publishing, photo journalism, video production, and
multimedia projects.
2. Students enrolled also contribute to an online blog hosted on pbwiki.org.
