When does Mrs. Edgerton have tutoring? Mrs. Edgerton tutors Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday MORNING from 8:15 until 8:45. The extensions for... Geometry - #3302 What was the assignment for yesterday? Check the calendars located on the homework board OR look on the class website. When will Mrs. Edgerton have the test graded? AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Watch your folder for an average sheet with the test grade. How do I make up a quiz that I missed? You can make up the quiz the next morning before they are returned. If you do not make it up at that time, then you don�t need to make-up the quiz. The grade will remain empty. It does not count against you, but it does give you fewer grades to average. When do we get a free day in here? NEVER. Where do I turn in make-up work or late work? Make-up work and late work both need a parent signature. Get the appropriate work slip, fill it out, and then turn it in the orange basket. When can I find out my average? You will receive an average sheet after every test. In addition, Mrs. Edgerton e-mails CURRENT averages every Friday. Can we line up at the door at the end of class? NO! How many points off is my work if it is late? Late work must be turned in within two class days of its due date. It is worth 50% of its original value. So, for example, if you turn in an assignment late that is 80% complete, your grade on that assignment will be a 40. What do I do if I miss a test? You will need to make up the test within two class days. So, if the test was given on Monday, you have to have taken it by the end of the day on Wednesday. What is everything worth in this class? How is my average determined? Geometry: Homework is usually a completion grade and counts for 15% of your average. Quizzes count for 15% of your average. Tests make up 70% of your average. If you do poorly on your tests, it will be reflected in your average. Math Models: Test 40%, Quizzes 30%, and Group/Daily work 30%/ On Geometry tests there are challenging bonus questions, but that is it. There is no extra credit in Math Modeling, but I do accept test corrections. Can I retake this test that I failed? No, not in Geometry, but you can improve your grade with the Six Weeks Test up to a 75. Math Models student can make test corrections. They must be filled out on the Test Correction Form and turned in no latter than 1 week after the test has been returned. Test corrections will count for � the points. Does Mrs. Edgerton drop any grades? I drop one quiz grade (if you have taken all the quizzes) each six weeks in Geometry. NO! Due to a new SCHOOL-WIDE POLICY, you may not listen to music in the classrooms. Mrs. Edgerton will enforce this school rule, so please keep your IPODs and such in your backpack or purse. The only thing you may have in class is water. No food or drinks. It would be easier to tell you when you CANNOT use the hall pass. You cannot use the pass the first or last 15 minutes of class. You may not use the pass during notes, quizzes, or tests either. How often may I use the hall pass? You have six minutes in between classes to take care of personal business. PLEASE MAKE USE OF THIS TIME. You will be given ONE hall pass each six weeks. There is NO reward for holding onto your hall passes, so use them when needed. |
