~Math~
Each week there will be a math page sent home on Monday in the student's
green
"Daily Homework Folder". The student should spend no more than a couple of
minutes working on the 2 problems for that day of the week. The math problems
will be turned in on Fridays.
~Reading~
Each student should be reading 20 minutes EVERY night! In the green "Daily
Homework Folder" there is a Reading Log for the student to record their
nightly reading. You should sign the Reading Log every night. Every student
will have a different book based on their current reading level. I encourage
you to ask comprehension questions after they read. Don't be alarmed if your
child brings home the same book several nights in a row. The goal is to
increase their fluency (reading speed) as the year goes on and reading the
same book a few nights in a row will do that.
