I grew up in Austin, TX and graduated from Anderson High School. I went to
college at West Teaxas A&M in Canyon, TX. Where I met my husband, Wade. My
first degree was a BA in Marketing. After working in sales for a 1 1/2
years, I went back and got my teaching degree.
My first job teaching was in Austin. After two years, I transfered to Round
Rock ISD. I have taught at Bluebonnet and Brushy Creek.
We have been married for 16 years. My husband works at Dell. We have two
children, Drake and Gillian. In 2002 our son was diagnossed with brain
cancer. We have spent the last six years in treatment and on the road to
recovery.
I hated school, seriously. My mission for the class is to help my students
learn to enjoy reading and writing. This is a skill I did not learn until
college. Sometimes even your brightest students don't really like
learning. My hope is that as a team we can change this.
