Each week beginning Sept. 26 homework is sent on Monday and is due on
Friday. Check the newsletter for the letter of the week. Your child will
need to find or draw at least 4 pictures of things that begin with the letter
of the week. Then try to sound out the word all by himself and write the
word. Parents should not tell the child how to spell the word. After the
child has written the word, then the parent can write the correct spelling
underneath what the child has written. At first you may want to do just a
little each day until complete. If your child is frustrated, stop and try
again another day. After a few weeks they will get the hang of it and it
