Discipline Plan

Mrs. Collins' Class

 

Classroom Contract: This is a contract written by the students that describes how the students want to be treated and how they agree to treat their peers and teachers.  This contract will be written during the first week of school and displayed all year.

 

Classroom Rewards:

·         Praise (daily)

·         Happy Tickets (individual rewards to earn visits to the treasure chest)

·         Winning cubes from the cube jar (class reward to earn class picnic)

·         Longhorn Stars

 

If a rule is broken:

First Time: The teacher will issue a group reminder about following the contract.

Second Time: The student will receive redirection from the teacher. 

Third Time:  The student is directed to move his/her clothes pin on behavior chart from green to yellow and looses 5 minutes of recess.

Fourth Time: The student is directed to move his/her clothes pin from yellow to orange and looses 10 minutes of recess.

Fifth Time: The student will move his/her clothes pin from orange to red and fill out an action plan with the teacher.  He or she will sit apart from the group for a period of time and the parent will receive the action plan and a call home explaining the student’s behavior.

Severe Misbehavior: The teacher will send the student to the office. (Severe behavior includes: causing intentional injury to another student and talking to other students, teachers, adults in an inappropriate manner.)

Reminder: Every day is a fresh start!!
