Dear Parents,
Welcome to another great year at Cactus Ranch Elementary! I am so excited to be your child's teacher. Let me take a few minutes to tell you a little bit about myself. My husband Chris and I have 2 boys. David is a 7th grader at Walsh Middle School, and Daniel is a 3rd grader here at Cactus Ranch. We enjoy going to the park, playing games and watching the boys play sports.
This is my 18th year teaching. I have been in the Round Rock School District for 16 years. My teaching experience is in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.
I strongly believe that my job is to help your child reach his or her fullest potential. I will encourage him or her to think critically about the topics we cover in fourth grade. I believe that kids excel when expectations are set high. Therefore, I will hold your child accountable for the highest level of academic achievement. Every day I am with the children I will be working to make sure they reach that level. When children succeed, they feel great. When they feel great, they work toward continued success. You have my promise to do everything in my power to ensure that your child reaches his/her fullest potential.
Because I cannot do my job alone, I need your help. Be there for your child with encouragement and support. Celebrate the accomplishments. Show understanding and reassure your child when things get frustrating. You will be surprised at what your child can do by the end of fourth grade!
As you will begin to see over the next few weeks, I consider it important to communicate with parents. The easiest way to contact me is through email.
