Hello and Welcome to First Grade at Cactus Ranch!
I would like to welcome you and your child to a wonderful year in 1st grade
at Cactus Ranch! I hope everyone has had a great summer and that your
transition into 1st grade with your child will be a pleasant one. I am so
excited for the opportunity to work and learn with your child this school
year.
Just to let you know a little bit about myself, I am a graduate of Texas
State University. This will be my third year of teaching, and my second year
at Cactus Ranch. I credit my mother for being a huge influence on my life
with the decision of getting into the teaching field. She has recently
retired after 30 plus years of teaching kinder and pre-kinder. She has been
my biggest role model. I have been married to my sweet husband, John, for
almost two years. We recently bought a home in Round Rock and have had a
great time making it our own. In my spare time, I am usually working in the
yard, at the lake, or spending time with family and friends.
I want you to know that I value your opinions and ideas. I believe that we
must form a partnership that respects and reinforces one another as we work
together to achieve our common goal- your child’s success. I greatly
appreciate all of your input and thank you for sharing your child with me. I
know this is going to be a wonderful year.
